The Older Wiser Project started in 2017 as a program to help Older Drivers know when it is time to stop driving along with providing them with a list of Public Transit Options for those that need to make that transition.
The feedback that we get from families is to thank us for helping educate Older Drivers about when it is time to stop driving along with their personal stories about how difficult it was for them when they we forced to “take the keys” from their loved one at the end of their lives.
Our hope is that we can decrease the need to take away anyone’s keys because of this educational outreach campaign along with expanding transit options for those that do not want to utilize public transit or ride share services.
